Speed Dating works! Why? Well, psychological evidence strongly suggests that most people make up their minds on whether they like someone within the first 30 seconds. This is how it works:

When you arrive you will be given a badge and a piece of card on which you shall decide on who you like. You'll then have around 20-30 one-on-one dates that last approximately 3 minutes each. If both parties are interested in meeting again, we provide contact email information so that you can set up another date. Each event is subdivided into Hindu, Muslim and Sikh, but occasionally there will be a mixed event.

Our friendly Asian Speed D8 staff will seat you at one of many numbered tables where you’ll talk to the person across from you for 3 minutes. When the time is up, your host will let you know it’s time to move on to the next speed dater. You’ll have another whirlwind three-minute conversation with the next person, gong, and on it goes.
 
After each date you’ll ever-so-discreetly tick a "yes" or "no" next to each person’s ID number on your match card to let us know if you want to see them again. Not MARRY them! Just see them again... whatever that means to you. At the end of the night, your host will collect all the match cards and process them within 48 hours.
 
If two people mutually checked yes (as in you both want to hang out again), you’re a match! We’ll send you a private email within 48 hours listing the names and email addresses of the people you matched with. From there, it’s up to you to get in touch!
